I feed my "guys" ground cat food. It seems to disappear quickly. I have only had them going for about 6 weeks now and have only given them bananas. I have heard oranges are like Viagra for them. I may have to try that...

I gave mine grapefruit and it ate it up so fast. They also like graham crackers and honey nut cheerios. They tend to like sweet stuff.

I haven't tried banana yet. I go to the supermarket to buy bananas but when I get there I buy everything except the bananas lol.

Mine get whole kibble of dog and cat food. I used to grind it up until someone pointed out that it didn't really make a difference.

-Left over stems from my bd's salad
-Corn meal
-Left over betta fish food and shrimp pellets
-Carrots

I need to get some oranges quickly.

I do a dog food, oatmeal, bottom of the cereal box, rice baby food, and whatever looks good in the pantry.

For fresh food they LOVE bananas. They also get apples, acorn squash, and leftover stems from the greens from the beardies. They do NOT like green, red, or yellow peppers. I think I have an orange in the fridge that's getting close to being tossed. I'm definitely going to give that a try. Thanks for the idea.

Mine love baby rice cereal (the one with the mixed fruits) and fresh oranges like there is no tomorrow. Chicken egg laying mash has become a new favorite and now my staple dry feed for them as well. Butternut squash is a big hit as well.. The Dubia love whole oats while the Turkestans don't like the oats as much. Neither of the species seem to fancy carrots or celery as much given their choice of something else.

I also mix in some honey with the baby rice cereal on occasion and they go absolutely nuts for that. They love the honey for sure.

I am going to start my roach colony soon. But I must say that the roach chow smells bad, and I think I will have to try some of the suggestions here.

Took your guys' advice and put a few slices of banana in the roach tank. It was mostly gone this morning!

I totally agreed that the roach chow smells, especially when it's heated up.

Surprisingly, our dry food is their favorite. We grind up Mazuri rodent lab blocks for their dry food, they have water crystals 24/7 and get greens, fruits and veggies when we have some extra. Our colony of 500 demolished an entire apple overnight, and took just over a day for a big banana and about a quarter bunch of collard greens. I still think it is weird that they prefer the dried food. Feeding at the same time in the same light conditions, they all scurry out for their fresh pile of rodent food, but don't do anything for fresh apples and banana's until after I put them back.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
