Weird... Why was he doing this??

Earlier I went to look at my baby beardie, Leopold and he was basking on his log as usual, but something was different! He was all puffed up and very fat-looking and I have never seen him like that before! I then went to pick him up and that's when he "deflated" back to his normal beardie self. Does anyone know why he was looking all fat and puffed up?? Thanks!

Sometimes beardies "stretch" by puffing themselves up. It could also just be some kind of baby exploration type thing (kind of like when human babies learn that they can screech and feel the need to constantly do it just because they can). These are just guesses, but I wouldn't worry as long as he's acting okay otherwise!

freaked out now? haha just wait until Leopold figures out to puff out only his eyes!

Could mean a shed is nearing too. Smurf will puff his beard before shedding it, although he is not old enough to black beard.
