He has been a great addition to our classroom:

As you can see he is studying mitosis. His food supply(the superworms in the tank next to him) are separated by that cardboard screen because otherwise he tries to dig through his glass terrarium to get to them lol

a better view of the superworm tank. My students love watching them squirm around and they help replace their veggies

I had some silkworms and set some aside to cacoon and a silkworm moth has emerged last night. My students got to see the entire life cycle of silk worms in my class. Something they would never have had the opportunity to if it wasn't for me having a Bearded Dragon as a classroom pet.

they're kind of pretty, I felt bad feeding this one to Captain Barbossa :) but only for a second lol

He has a very studious look about him....[ ha ha ] That's great, it's wonderful that the kids get to experience a slice of nature , and like you said, they would have never been able to witness the transformation of the silkworm to a moth. Very cool for them + you !

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
