Frances and Tracie thank you for your kind words but there is really no need to thank me we are all in this big mess together I am just happy to see that it all seems to be getting worked out :D I am so relieved that TRex wont be using that glass anymore and we can hopefully begin to rely on that product once again.Frances I am glad Alan is sending you samples that is good news indeed!

Francis, I'm glad you've come on this site to help us figure out all the uvb in's and out's. I really appreciate you and Tracie making this easier for all of us to understand. I'm glad that you are testing these bulbs. With all the uvb bulbs out there, we wouldn't know which ones were safe for our precious scaley children with out your help.

could take 4 to 6 weeks as per rachael...................remember this started a few months ago and they denied any problems but could not replace the 100 watt bulb i returned but has the 160 watt...i donot know but it seems that they had an idea.

They definately had an idea but from the story I got they were assured by Westron that the problem was immediately resolved and there were no issues.I guess they chose to believe the distributor at that point. It's what I refer to as head in the sand syndrome :wink:

At least they are doing right by us now and hopefully we ca all get back to the joys of reptile ownership instead of being in constant panic that we are killing our animals! I am also hopeful that the new standard UV heat bulb from them turns into a viable product as well but that will take some time to verify but rest assured as soon I see how it is working out I will be posting on that as well.

Hello Vicky,

That sounds good! I am happy that they finally began working on the problem instead of denying one ever existed! I will be glad when all of this is fixed & the mercury vapor bulbs are back to normal again.

It's funny that you just posted that because I just got off chat with them and they said mine would be refunded before weeks end which is definately a good thing!

Thanks Michelle, I was getting nervous...lol

On another note I spoke with Rachel again today and they do not yet have an ETA on when the new bulbs will be ready but she is hoping to have an update by Monday so as soon as I hear anything I will let you guys know.

They rec'd my bulb on 3/10 and I'm still waiting for my PayPal to be refunded.

I'm glad everyone is getting a response from Pet Mtn, but I sent an e-mail to Pet Mtn last week about my defective bulbs, and still I havn't got any response, any suggestions?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
