Staying away from the basking lamp

Today I woke up to find my Beardie not in his usual basking spot. He put a lot of distance between himself and the heat produced by the lamp. Now he doesn't look ill or anything, he's attentive and looks quite well. I'm just surprised by this sudden change of behavior. I put him on the log he basks on but not directly under the heat of the lamp, he's far enough to be away from his basking spot but close enough to receive some form of heat. Any insight into what's going on? Should I put him back on the spot that I found him in? He's inching closer and closer to his basking spot now. Now he's almost directly under it.

How old is he? Adults like it to be around 95 - 100 while Juvies tend to like it hotter at around 105 - 115 or so.

I got him in August of 2010 when he was itty bitty. Now he's about a foot long (give or take a couple inches).

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
