The problem really started early july or late june. When he was healthy what he liked to do, for some godforsaken reason, is run off my desk. Sometimes putting himself in a kind of shock. I would put him in his 50 gallon long which is 90-105 F in the hot side, 75 in the cold side and he would be fine after a min or two. Then one day he did that and he opened his mouth real big and went into his little shock state and I put him back. After that he didn't really take the effort to eat the crickets i offered him. Not even if i hand fed them to him. After a while of not eating and becoming lethargic and skinny we took him to the vet. He said he had a sore in his mouth and gave him vitamins and i think a steroid shot. He gave me a vial of something and needles so i can inject them myself. He showed me how and i did it perfectly with as little discomfort as possible to Zeus. By the way he is a juvenile. Not more than a year old we got him in February so i'd say he's about 8 months old. He perked up a bit after that and started eating the worms we would offer him. After a while, tho he declined again. Not eating, barley moving just staying under his sun lamp all day and occasionally getting under shade. So we took him to a different vet this time and he said he had worms. So they gave him medication via tube in stomach and i'm supposed to do that every week for 4 weeks. This was on Wednesday so i haven't done it yet but he still hasn't perked up any and has only eaten 4 worms since them. Truth be told not too long ago I took him and coaxed open his mouth using my fingers and fingernails and one by one put in a meal worm. And by that i mean i waited for him to chew and swallow and recuperate before attempting another. Yes i know that it is a drastic thing to do but he's seriously not in good shape and i felt like I had to do something.

did you get a x-ray, mine broke his back. He started to not eat. Mine also got a wound on his back, if it's in the mouth there may be a slight fracture, maybe the jaw. Keep me posted I want to help. Good luck :D

He did not, i don't think but he's able to use all of his limbs. Like when i pick him up he uses all four legs to grasp onto my hand. And i'm sorry to hear about that, that sounds terrible :(

My question is do i continue the force feeding if he doesn't eat and if not what do i do? Tho he does seem slightly more energetic than he used to be. Like when i take him out he actually moved around instead of staying in one spot. I took him outside for some sun and his head turned yellowish and his body was dark, so i'm assuming that's good. Tho he is still lathargic it's a step up

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
