This is a pic of Tatsu's photo urn that I just got back from my vet. It is one of my favorite pics of him taken in the spring of 2006 in Wisconsin in my mom's garden.

On December 4, 2010 I had to make the hardest decison, yet, of my life and let Tatsu cross Over the Rainbow with my help. Tatsu was diagnosed with terminal leukemia after going to the vet two days prior for a prolapse. It was devestating, heartbreaking, shocking news.

Tatsu, you were a wonderful friend and therapy animal. Your life brought so much joy to others on this forum. Who would have known that a joke thread would still be continuing almost 3 years later and you would have your own army amassed for World Domination? It was a pleasure to answer all your fanmail, and I will miss that. It has become such a big part of my life. Sometimes it would take me more than 30 minutes to keep up with your posts from one or two weeks. You were loved by all.

When I met you, you were just a little wee snip of dragon with a lot of spunk. My first husband had taken me to a reptile swap in Illinois in a barn. You were in a big tank with all the other babies, climbing over them, trying to get my attention. I took you home that day as a late Valentine's Day gift in a deli container. You were plain brown, but we would soon learn a few months later that you had gorgeous yellow eyes like no other dragon I've ever seen!

You used to sit with me and watch cartoons. You loved music and movies and going out and meeting people and baths and running around outside. Because of all your outings and field trips over years to places like pet stores, Home Depot, Walmart, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shop, various libraries, etc., you educated and touched a lot of lives.

Your army also entertained its troops and myself. You brought so much to all our lives.

In 2003 when I was diagnosed with a disabling illness, you kept me getting out of bed every mornning.

And then in 2005, when I was a going through a rough divorce, you cheered me up, and found me the love of my life on this forum, Will. Who knew you were such a good matchmaker? I wasn't looking for love at the time, but in 2006 you moved with me to Albuquerque, NM and then in 2007 I got married and you got a new brother, Mike, out of the deal, which I know you weren't happy about, but I was!

You have led such a full life, spanning living in three states now, two without snow and warmer climates, which I know you were happy about, and almost 8 years of fun adventures.

You woke up every day with an enthusiastic smile. You were always there to snuggle with me. And you will missed. My world went gray the day you died and has not been the same since. It never will.

You are gone from our world, but not our hearts.

Rest in peace, Tatsu. I hope you are frolicking somewhere with Godzilla, your hero right now and eating lots of supers and playing in the sunshine. Thank you for letting me share your life and for being such a good friend. There are so many things left to say in this post and not enough room, so I will end here.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
