Professor Lizard

We found a random colorful looking leatherback at Petco, so now she is my daughter's. Meet Professor Lizard. I thought this would be a good place to document her color changes as she grows.

Day 1
She was a little miffed at us and all the changes, but has a really sweet temperament and never once has nipped at anybody. Very active and curious!

Almost one month later. She's much bigger now. Much brighter too. Actually, she shed right after this picture and her reds are much more diffused now and the background color is a brighter yellow. I need to get an updated pic.

She was a lucky break. They had a whole bunch of really high end herps that day. Two albino ball pythons for $600 each. Powder blue baby iguanas for $200 each, etc.

There she was, sitting in the food dish and terrifying all the little brown dragons. The guy was actually glad to see her go so the others would get a chance to eat. I forget if we payed $50 or $60 for her. She has a teeny weeny tiny tail nip, but so far it seems fine.

Here's a sort of updated pic of Professor Lizard (Mizzy for short now). This one is about a month old. I need to get new ones already! She's growing so fast.

Wow, pretty colors, that's a good find! I've seen leathers at Petsmart/Co from time to time but never anything with more than normal coloring.
