Before I moved from Oregon Booger acted like her right side hurt when I touched it. I took her in and the vet said she was fine. I wish I had gotten a second opinion now. She has had a tight belly since then and doesn't eat much, well the last couple of days looking at her her legs are skinny, big belly and fat pads not there. I didn't have the money to really take her in, but I had too. Vet did an x-ray and blood work, x-ray showed a big mass on her right side. So for the last 2 months she has had to suffer because a vet told me she was fine. Vet will call tomorrow about the blood work, but it doesn't sound to good right now. I can't lose my little girl, who I have had since she was 6 weeks old and I have had for 2 years now. I might end up putting my girl to sleep, depending on what the vet says tomorrow. Looking at a vet school if its possible to save her, because I don't have the money

:( I'm sorry you're having to contemplate euthenasia. I had to put one of my hamsters down last week at 2 yrs old, so I know how hard it is to even think the word. I hope you're able to work something out with a vet school, and that they're able to put her on the road to recovery.

You're in my thoughts

I got care credit and friends helping out so she goes in on Monday for surgery. I am wondering about the operation. I know sometimes they don't wake up which could cost her her life, but with the operation, they spay right? So I don't have to worry about this happening again?
The vet said that she could be forming eggs and surgery would be the only way to save her or put her down.

I guess it would be called egg bound, she has never laid before and no clues she was going to. I just hope we are not to late to save her, the vet wants her on liquid calcium until Monday.

Thank you everyone. I talked to the vet office yesterday because I wanted to know exactly what we are dealing with. The vet doesn't know if its egg related or just a mass ( maybe cancer, not sure ) until he can do surgery. I would hope the blood work would show if it was cancer. Any ways i am trying to make Booger as comfortable as can be until Monday. Everything out of her tank as its hard for her to get around. Lights lowered, only a log she can half sit or stand on to get the heat. i will keep everyone updated as to what is going on. Thank you to everyone for even prayers at this time.

What is Egg bound? Sounds like it means they would be stuck? I believe I heard someone say a Dragon can get prego without a companion/mate. Is that true? Or did I misunderstand?

Egg bound means they have eggs but cannot pass them. Female that have never been with a male can lay eggs but are not fertile. Lucky Booger hasn't laid any eggs yet, but the problem might be with her female parts, or some kind of tumor, or something. It has been getting bigger over the last 2 months and not sure how long it has been going on, but hopefully will get good news (no cancer) on Monday and she makes it through all of this.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
