Gonzo still has not pooped. It has been 3 weeks. We are bathing and tummy rubs almost every day. Fed baby food prunes with oil a few time and nothing. New Temp gun to assure temps are on target and according to previous posts my lighting is good. Until today all she had ate in 3 weeks was 2 superworms, 4 crickets and 6 Dubias. That's not much but I thought she would have something to poop out. Today out of the blue she ate 11 crickets and 2 dubias. That is more than she ate in months. She had not touched fruit or veg in over a month.

We have an xray scheduled on Monday. When she was at the vet last Saturday he said she appeared to be great health and he felt 2 lumps which could be eggs but he wasn't sure. He offered to do an enema which we preferred to wait. He said to bring her back if nothing happened and he will do an xray to check for impaction or eggs. He said if he felt there was something serious wrong he would not give us an option he would tell us we had to do it. I am hoping after eating more today she will poop and can skip the $100 xray.

I got items for a lay box. I did an addition to another post because the basic plain topsoil I got appears to have some small rocks and wood or bark in it. Can I still use it as I would think It could accidently be ate? People say use sand but I was told they should not be around sand because of licking it or breathing it in.

Since she hadn't eaten in such a long time she really had nothing to expel as waste. Now that she's eaten, give a bit more of the natural laxatives and she will probably poo within the week. Remember, during an actual true brumation they may not poo for months, so 3 weeks is not that long considering that she hasn't been eating much.

Topsoil and play sand are fine for the laybox, some topsoil can be purchased that doesn't contain all the foreign objects. If you can sift out the bigger pieces that would be good, but few beardies will eat any of it. As for sand, I've used it plain or mixed for over 20 years with no problems. Remember, there is a slight risk from ANY substrate, but the risk is very small. Their instinct is to dig + tunnel through the damp sand/soil and they know how to do it. Don't worry and don't listen to the comments from paranoid people, a laybox needs to be there for an egg laying female.

But I think Gonzo should poo any day now....during her bath tomorrow make the water a bit deeper + warmer than usual, that may work.

Well, between yesterday and today we did longer warmer baths, tummy rubs, more prunes with veg oil and still no poop. :( Guess we are off to the vet tomorrow for an xray. I cant risk the chance thinking each day she may poop when there may be something wrong. As I said previously She had a small urate and little poop 3 weeks ago. Since her last poop 3 weeks ago she has ate 2 superworms, 16 crickets, and 10 dubias and not pooped. If I am being paranoid about her not pooping for 3 weeks with all that food in her please let me know.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
