This is the 2nd dome for the basking bulbs we have had to replace in less than 6 months. Not sure what's going on, but the domes become faulty. It gets to the point where we aren't able to use the dial to turn it down or even off. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. And today the cord got really hot and it smelled like it was burning on the inside or something. Has anyone else had any problems with the domes?
Anyway, here's the situation, My husband would have to stop at Petsmart after work tomorrow and won't be here until after 8pm. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to get there earlier in the day or I would be there in a heartbeat.

Will Yoshi be Okay for 1 day without his basking bulb until my husband gets the bulb dome?

What could I do to keep him warm during the day?

Should I not really feed him for just that day since he won't have his basking heat to help in digesting it? I don't want him to go without food, but I didn't know if it would be worse for him not having the proper heat.

Not sure if this would help in a response, but Yoshi does have the Reptisun 10.0 UVB. Thanks in advance for any help that I may receive.

He'll be fine without it for just one day, but I'd agree with not feeding him so he doesn't have any food to digest. If it's warm out you could take him out in the sun for a while, or even sit him on a sunny windowsill, or if you can manage to rig up something using a desk lamp or something over his tank you could try that. Or you could just leave him be in his viv if you'd rather. One day without basking, so long as your house isn't freezing cold, won't do him any harm.

Thanks Vampy,
My husband actually came up with an idea of splitting time with a basking bulb between 2 of our beardies. Our beardie Aurora would have it for 4 hours and Yoshi would have it for 4 hours. They both would get one feeding for the day, but they would have time to get warmed up before and after they eat. My husband is hoping his idea is a good one at least for one day. That way they both get at least some basking in and both can have at least one feeding. It's not warm enough to take him outside. We do have the heat on in our house, so it's comfortable in here.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
