New Set up

I just set up my new enclosure for my Beardie. It is a 75 gallon tank. I have a 36 inch Reptisun and a 125 Watt Solar Glo MVB. I tested the lights before I moved my Beardie to his new enclosure and it is no where near hot enough( I use a digital temp gun). If I could start all over, I would have never bought the Solar Glo because it does not put off that much heat. I had the bulb in the Deep Dome fixture on top of the screen. It says that he should not be any closer to the bulb than 12 inches. But does that include the bulb working through the screen too? I'm basically only using it as his basking bulb because I have the Reptisun inside of his tank. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make the temperatures right in my tank?
