New Baby Help

Hello,

I am finding a bay tomorrow to fill the spare tank I have and need any possible addition help in trying to decipher the sex of babies. The breeder stated that he has a best assumption but he doesn't guarantee until you can see hemipenal bulges. Can anyone give me a break down of the differences as well as any pictures of babies that are between 6 and 10 inches. I'm hoping to get a female from the breeder so I would like to know what I'm looking for.

My beardie is 7 months (14") and i've just been able to determine her sex. Males have 2 bumps either side above vent, females have a single or no bump above vent. Here is an article from this site about how to sex a beardie with pics:

I know about the bulges above the vent, but what I was hoping for help with was in regards to sexing sub 10 inch dragons where the bulges are mostly inacurate or can be misleading. I was hopin g for refernces of the other features like tail and head shape. I know most breeder say they can sex at the six inch range fairly acurate or with guarantee.

Well i was just trying to help. Some femles have smaller heads but its not always the case. A common difference is that a male will have a thicker tail than a female. Hopefully someone else can answer better

I have heard that another way that you can tell is by the pores that are under the rear legs. The males are usually the ones with the more noticable pores.

I know there are more people on here with better experience on this subject so please correct me if I am wrong :wink:
