I need a staple feeder worm for my beardie. She refuses crix anymore. And I am def not doing roaches. (Sorry, I know they are good for my beardie, but they are not good for me. ) I have a few questions.
1. What is the best and cheapest worm(for a juv beardie) to breed?
2. How many of said worms, at a time is acceptable to feed? (I feed 2-3 times a day, depends on if I work 1 or 2 jobs that day)?
I really want to do phoenix worms, but I will have to wait for spring to try my hand at starting a colony. So, I need some other ideas. Right now, I am feeding Sam 10-12 wax worms 2-3 times a day along with salad. (I know they are fatty, but they are the only thing I have available to me that she will eat :? )
I don't know if this is needed to decide what feeder worm is best, but:
Sam is about 4 1/2 months old. She is 11-12 inches from tip of her snout, to tip of her tail. The distance between her eyes is about 1 inch (just a little smaller).
I have been trying to do research on the internet, but everything I have found is more for adult beardies.
