Hello,
I have been "researching" or lurking for several months to get ready for my first beardie. *looking around to make sure that my hubby doesn't see the first* lol
She/He is so cute after 2 baths ate some greens from my hand. Of course just had 20 small dusted crickets, so very active now.
I had to put a "privacy curtain" up as the cats were trying to stare down Blaze.

Here is a picture from our first day.

Grats on the beardie. I like the tile!

Thank You. We went to the Habitat for Humanity Restore for tile. We got enough for the tank for Blaze to start in and also the enclosure that we are building as an adult enclosure.
Saw way to many great choices. Dusted crickets show up very well on this tile. I am so lucky.

you should always offer a small dish of greens possibly w/ some grated squash.. eventually they will eat it, but as a baby they're all about he crickets...

That's what I read so I was ready for the "nah not eating that" but Blaze eats some greens and cut up bits of grapes. So I think it is like our Chickens, who didn't read the chicken book, and doesn't realize that is what is "supposed to happen". *shrug* Baby gets want Baby wants. lol
Blaze seems to find bath time very relaxing.

And tail up, maybe checking for wind?

you've seem to have this figured out.. good that he likes baths and eating greens.. just like a little kid, you need to start them early w/ good habits... gorgeous lil' one..

Thank you, I love the red streak on her/his cheek.
So far the best thing about the crickets is that any that escape from Blaze the cats chase down and eat. lol
I have had 2 get out when I was gathering them for Blaze's dinner. Seriously considering changing over to worms.

Here is a pic of our first trip outside. :D There was quite a bit of running around then
it was all Sun Baby time.

It was finally warm enough and not raining. We are going to build something safer and bigger to use in the nice weather. Can't turn down free uvb.

Nice to see baby outside.... 10 minutes in natural light outdoors is equivalent to 24 under a UVB bulb.. our Crixus was outside today too.. he was born in October so today was only his 2nd time out.. we live in New England so the warm months are few and far between, we'll take the warm when we can get it..

I broke down and made Blaze a hammock  lol. Kept thinking that I had to have the perfect measurements and fabric and thread....Can't tell that I hate to "fail" can ya?
But I think its pretty good for the moment, considering that its made from puppy bed scraps so no cost other than the command hooks that I bought weeks ago to hang a hammock.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
