After fighting sickness for a few weeks, we decided to put Java to rest last night. He fell off of his log and was unable to support himself anymore. We had been keeping up a regiment of daily feedings and water, but whatever initially got him sick was too much for him to handle. He's at Rainbow Bridge now with his friend Lola.
My wife and I are going to be taking a hiatus from beardie ownership for a while until we are more comfortable we can give a beardie our full attention. I will still be available on the boards but until we heal we are going to stay away from getting a new beardie.
