i took them to the vets yesterday and the vet said they're perfectly healthy and well hydrated. and that they shouldn't be eating greens until they're over a year. and that you can't really tell the sex of them until they're over a year too because the females also have the 2 lumps on the base of the tail until they're older. she's not pregnant and she could only feel stool in her tummy. she told me to bathe her every day just to help if she's a little constipated. its good that i changed the wood chip to repticarpet and that they're perfectly fine housed together. unless the fight of course. and lastly taking away the greens should sort the greep poop out. if not to make and appointment and take a sample in for her to check for parasites.

came in today and theres just a lump or two of squished crickets, is this vomit? they don't look digested at all to be honest just compacted together.

I'm sure they ate too much yesterday they just eat as much as they can. i'll have to ration them abit more.

also were looking into purchasing another vivarium to separate them i really don't want to take my chances on them harming one another. especially since their attitudes have changed completely since their check up at the vets. they stay separated all the time and they have had a bicker or two nothing violent just the obvious I'm boss thing. the tables have turned its the 'female' now asserting dominance.

just to ask, has anyone got any idea why they were fine until after they went to the vets (for their first time)?

they just always seem grumpy and on edge all of the time now, beards out and nearly all black etc

thank you

They might be a bit stressed from the trip to the vets and back. Give them a few more days to get back-in-sorts.

Glad you are considering another viv. :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
