How to make custom rocks?(HELP!)

Hey guys Im a newbie and this is my first time owning a beardie. how do you make fake rocks or basking platforms? Either one would work. My tank seems bare right now and i need some ideas to add to my tank. Is DIY cheaper then store bought?

DIY is cheaper and you cant buy custom built enclosure furniture like you can make. check out lizard-landscapes.com it helped me out alot when i first made mine.
