Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the site and just wanted to give everyone a lil' information on my beardie.
I own a 6 month old tiger morph bearded dragon. His/her name is Puff The Magic Dragon, Puff for short. I'm guessing he/she's a tiger morph, like an tard I was so excited about getting him/her and asked about his care and didn't know much about the different types of bearded dragons. From all the photos I've seen now, he/she looks like a tiger morph.
I also don't know Puff's sex, when I adopted Puff he/she was little they couldn't tell 100% they guessed Puff was a he. I'm taking him to the pet store sometime this week so their lizard guy can let me know what sex Puff is. He's really excited bout seeing him too.
My daughter who is 18 months old actually found Puff in the pet store. When she as about a year old I heard her squeeling and giggling, I looked to see what was causing her to get all happy and excited and she was pointing to Puff who was showing her a lot of attention, he actually was following her finger a bit. We both hung out with him for a few minutes and when I started to push the carriage away my daughter started to cry. Well that was it, Puff had won over her heart and I couldn't leave without him. Oddly enough Puff was the runt of the "gang" and one of the lil' guys had nipped his tail. The lizard guy at the pet store was like you sure you want this one? I was like hey she (my daughter) picked him out that's who we want and I didn't want the poor lil' guy to get picked on.
After bringing him home and all the time I spend with him, I absolutely adore him possibly even more then my daughter. I'm very happy that she found Puff for us. I don't allow her much interaction with him other than I taught her to use her small index finger to rub his head, which is so cute to watch.
I have Puff in a 20gal tank, with a UV bulb, 75W basking light, thermometer, water dish, food dish, basking rock, and sand as a substrate. He eats escrole, dandelion & mustard greens, large crickets daily and I give him papaya, squash, green beans, pees once a week as treats. I also sprinkle his crickets with D3 and calcium vitamins. I'm thinking he'll need to be upgraded to a 40gal very soon. Any advice is welcome of course!
Thanks for reading my rambling, lol.
