Hi,

My beardie Liza had what I believe is a prolapse today (looks like a small red balloon coming out of her butt). So I put her in the sink with some lukewarm sugar water (read I should do this online). She started drinking a lot of water, which I've never seen her do before. She then started puffing up and puked in the sink. I am really scared, what could I do at home to help her? Should I take her to the vet?

Thanks

Personally I would take her to a reptile vet. Keep the prolapse moist, don't let it dry out. Cool sugar water can help is shrink and possibly go back in. I wouldn't risk pushing it back in myself.

Thank you.

But I managed to get the prolapse to go back in (a couple hours of bathing in sugar water). She drank a lot too.

Should I still be worried about this problem?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
