Hey I'm Eddie.:D I got my first beardie about 2 weeks ago from a small pet store, here in Orlando, that took great care of her (at least I think she is a she). My uncle got me into beardies when I was really young and now had the opportunity to finally get my first baby and she precious. I don't know her exact age but I would say around 7 weeks sounds good. I read as much as I could before I got her and still and reading more and more. She is a normal but is brighter with her orange and blue bars then other normals that were at the shop. Right now she is just call Baby Girl and I hope she is a girl cause I know they all look like females when they are young.

Right now have her tank set up pretty well with just a few change I would like to make, like having tile instead of paper towel but that will work for now. :D

Hoping to eventually get more when I can get a nice setup with more tanks so I don't have any accidents and to also start a dubia roach colony cause I am not a huge fan of crickets.

Hope I can meet some interesting people, make some friends here, and learn from the best!

~Eddie :)

She is a beautiful baby :love5:
I thought dubia were illegal in FL?

Well that is a bummer. :| Well then looks like that might be a problem.
I can see why they are but still would like them for my baby.
They are a lot better then crickets and I know other people here that have them.
Grrrrr :angry5:

Well, I know its illegal to get dubia in Canada, but some have found a way to get them. I don't know if maybe there is someone that has dubia under the radar locally. Good luck.

I know some people that do have them. I'll just get some Northern Banana Beetles

Good luck. I prefer dubia to crickets any day.

I would too. Crickets are just nasty!
What other feeders should I get also?
I heard hornworms were good and super worms when she is bigger.

I use hornworms, my two love them... Zy loves everything. Silkworms are great as well, supers are for beardie 16" and longer, butters and wax are treats, and phoenix/calci/repti worms would make a great staple if the large ones weren't so small.

Here's sites that I use that have really good deals:

Hornworms:

Phoenix Worms:

Variety Worm Packs: (you can e-mail her and substitute bugs in the packs or ask for smalls for younger beardies)

Hope these help.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
