Hatching Silkworm eggs (PROBLEM)

I have been trying to hatch 500 silkworm eggs for about a week now. They were blue-grey a day or two ago, now they seem to be turning yellow. I have them on a heat pad, raised up so its not directly on it. Did I somehow cook them instead? (yummy) Anyone have any idea?

The only time I've ever seen yellow eggs is when they are infertile. You didn't have any yellow eggs to begin with?

no they went from black, to blue then to brown/yellow.

That is really odd. Ive had tons of generations of silkworms (school/science related) and ive always bought eggs. They shipped a blue/grey color and turned a dark blue a few days before they hatched.

Gosh I wish I could be of more help to you. I tried to google it but found nothing. I would leave them out for another week or two just to see what happens. I didn't think my last batch was going to hatch because they kinda looked dried out but they did.

you need to have enough humidity.

Some of you won't believe me, but when I was 5, I didn't even know beardies existed, but anyways lol I had about 300 silkworms as pets, once they laid eggs I take the eggs, and put them somewhere where nothing wil disturb them for a year! lol yeah I put them on top of my closet, they hatch every year and I never failed. I even have about 600 eggs in a container, just leave the eggs alone, no really, no heat, no humidity, It worked for me
