gun case enclosure

My husband has found an oak gun case and wants to convert it to vivarium for my dragon. I'm concerned about ventilation. There is hail screen on top and body of the compartment is 4' tall, two feet wide and about two feet deep. I think it's too tall and Hafthor won't make use of all the space. If he has layers, will he climb? He's really active so that's why I'm interested in a bigger space. Any comments?

It sounds a little too narrow to me. Dragons appreciate a decent amount of floor space, and while they use vertical space too it will be harder to have a good heat gradient side to side. I don't think 4' is too tall, but it might not get used to it's fullest.

This may be silly but turn it on its side? If you make a base for it then you have a 4x2x2 viv.

i too say modify it a bit turn it on its side and you have a ready made enclousure...add ventilation and lights and decore and bingo!
