Hello! I have my Yoshii for a year now, he is 49cm long and weights 530 grams. He has always been healthy and active, although in the last weeks he has been slowing down, I think brumation is coming!

PROBLEM:

On his right arm, two grey spots appeared. Also some discollouring of the spikes near the ear, a small patch on the top of the head and on the back and a small patch on the chin.

Also a DARK spot on his right shoulder.

I don't know what they are but they don't look like shed to me, I'm really worried about my dragon ...
I have tried to give him a soak and to gently rub the areas with a brush but nothing happened.
I include pictures and a video to show how active and alert he is, the video was taken today.

INFO:

He has a large tank with Arcadia UVB 12% and a 75w basking bulb.
Spot temp is 115-120ºF, hot side arround 90ºF and cool side arround 80ºF.
12h cycle of light, no light at night, temp is about 65ºF.

Diet is mainly Collard Greens and Dubia. Usually he eats like a pig but in the last weeks only eats 1 dubia every other day, still eats a bit of greens every other day.
Only poops in the bath and only 1-2 times per week (he has always been like this).

Thank you.

Hi there...Yoshi sure is a beautiful yellow dragon ! :) I think that is all harmless bits of shed patches, and under the beard those scales have blemishes that I've seen on some of my own dragons that are also harmless. It looks like the epaulet [ shoulder pad ] is partly in shed with the tip being the exception so it's still black. If you're concerned you can get some Lamisil antifungal cream to dab on those spots and keep an eye on them but I don't think there's a health problem there. If nothing else, the cream can soften the scales and cause the dry patches to come off.

Just a question though, how does he stay hydrated ? He looks just a bit on the thin/wrinkly side. You might offer water orally via syringe or eyedropper or see if he'll drink in a bath by dripping water on his snout. You might also lower the hot side to between 100-105 since he's an adult.

Oh thank you !:D
About the epaulet, its normal color is the grey, that's why I'm worried. Usually when he sheds that part it becomes lighter not darker, I've never seen the tip so dark.

Anyway I'm getting Lamisil just in case, it won't hurt him if there is no fungus right?

About the hydration, I always offer him water in the bath by dropping it on his snout e usually licks the drops. However, as I said, he has been "half brumating" so he hasn't eat a lot nor drink. He hasn't lost weight tho, still in the 530g mark.

But in the last bath I gave him (2 days ago) he did something new, lowered his head and drank a lot of water from the bath. Matbe he is dehydrated? Or was it just because it had been a long time snce he had water due to brumation?

About the wrinkles I think it was from the positioning, he was walking in those pictures. Here a pic of him standing still:

I will lower the hot side now!
Thank you for the help!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
