getting my beardie used to being handled?

I recently was given a 5-6 month old beardie. Any suggestions on hand taming him? Right now he really wants nothing to do with it....he barely enjoys being stroked. I did succesfully pick him up and hold him for about 5 min after he settled in for 2 days. Sometimes hes cool with it...sometimes his hisses at me and scarrreeesss the crap outta me! lol any suggestions?

just keep handling him eventually he will get used to it
