What is everyones opinion on mixed vegetables for beardies as a treat?

Sara do you mean like the carrot, lima bean, green bean, and potato mix? An do you mean fresh, frozen, or canned?

I personally wouldn't use any canned items because of the sodium content and the fact that most nutrients have been striped of them. Frozen is okay I guess better than canned as for nutrients just make sure that the sodium level isn't high.

The list at beautifuldragons has carrots, canned green beans, canned lima beans all listed as a feed ocassionally and potatoes are a feed rarely item. So I'm guessing that according to that list it is okay as a treat.

So which one of your beardies likes mixed veggies?

I really prefer fresh veggies for my babies and buy them regularly. I was gonna have mixed veggies for supper and Alf loves them so I thought I would share with her. Just a small amount til groceries on Friday.She will put away mixed veggies of any kind except plain greens so I try to treat her once in a while. She LOVES collard greens and gets those daily but I wanted to give her and Gimli a treat. Green beans,peas,carrots and corn is in the mix I have,but could leave out anything not good for her. When I have tried fresh beans or carrots (rarely) she eats everything in sight including collards.

Sara just check the list an if it's allowed on there then as a treat it would be fine. :wink:
I'd just pick out some of the rarely items so that they get more of the better for them ones,
because I'm just like that.. :roll:

It's kind of funny how each beardie finds different things they perfer as a treat.
