If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that your little guy is suffering from relocation stress, due to your moving into a new home!
Even though his tank is probably exactly the same as it was in your other home, the location is different, and what he sees when he's out of his hide no longer seems like home to him! This may sound completely nuts to you, but, for him, the different surroundings are a very big change, and, if he's like most beardies, the new surroundings are going to take some getting used to before he feels comfortable again.
Beardies are creatures of habit, and any changes in their surroundings or their normal routine are very stressful to them, so my guess is that your little one is neither trying to brumate, or sick, but is just using his hide as an escape from unfamiliar surroundings.
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it, other than just giving him some time to adjust to the changes outside of his tank. However, since he seems to be using his hide as an escape from the changes in his habitat, I would take it out, at least during the day, which will force him to get used to his new surroundings eventually, whether he wants to or not. You can still put it back in there for him to sleep in, at night, so that he feels safe.
If I'm right, and this is, indeed, relocation stress, then you should see a marked change in his eating habits and behavior in 2-3 weeks. If you're not home during the day, and he's there by himself, it may help for you to take an old T-shirt and wear it around for a couple of days, so it has your scent on it. Then, without laundering it, wad it up and toss it in one of the corners of his tank. It will smell like you, and he may find that comforting when you're not there to protect him from all the "big, bad changes" in his surroundings right now.
Once you remove his hide, it may take him a week or two to relax in his new surroundings, but what you're seeing is completely normal. Just give him some time, and lots of extra attention when you are home, and he should be just fine as soon as he adjusts to all of the changes.
Hope these suggestions help, and Congratulations on your new home!
