Hello my bearded dragon layed her first ever clutch of infertile eggs 3 weeks ago and went back to normal. She layed 35 eggs in one go! Since last week she's started acting crazy again, slight black beard eating more etc, I'm convinced she is going to lay again but is she supposed to? And if so how many times a year will this happen/how far apart? It's autumn here in uk.

Thanks

Hi there....every dragon is different. They can lay from 1-5 or more clutches. So just keep up with good feeding + calcium supplementation and she should be fine.

I'm adding to this post because I'm getting worried now or I might not need to just need advice.

Well the crazy stuff stopped I put her in the lay box but she didn't want to be in there at all, she's still eating like a pig getting bigger but has stopped running around for the past 4 days and the black beard has almost gone it appears every now and again but not constant like before.

I wouldn't describe her as lethargic she is acting like she did before the crazy behaviour, basking moving from hot to cold, sleeping as usual only in the evening etc, but she is however drinking more every opportunity I give her, and still passing stools etc. she seems fine just doesn't like being handled as often she tucks up her stomach and sometimes dies this if she climbs on her rock as if she is protecting her eggs.

Her body is strange, she looks all spread out at the sides and very big sometimes then others not depends if she walks around.

So my question is:

Is it normal for her to hunch up her abdomen sometimes? She did this during the process 3 weeks ago before laying 35 eggs? Just how she deals with it?

I know it's normal to drink lots after, but during egg production?

Is a black beard normal?

Is it normal for her to go crazy not want to lay then go back to not running around at all just her normal lazy self (not inactive though) still alert etc and eating loads! And getting bigger.
Will she start running again I'm hoping so to put her in the lay box and she runs fine for food

I am giving her calcium every day and vitamins 2-3 times a week baths every couple of days etc, but she was a big dragon to start with and I don't want to over feed her right now but I am letting her have all she needs at the minute. Is this okay?

Sorry for the essay!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
