dubia/water

So my Dubia's are on their way and I kinda got into a panic for a few mins because I forgot to get my water gel, the dubia's will be here tomorrow (Im assuming afternoon) and I will only have the gel around 6PM tomorrow night.

The guy I bought them from said he has never given his water gel, just lots of veggies...

What's your thoughts on this? I would think the veggies wouldnt be enough to raise the humidity but who knows?
Also can I give them iceberg lettuce?? That would be good for a water source, wouldnt it?

Veggies will work, but I would put some in just because.

ive read you can use cotton balls with water but they have to be changed often as to not cause mold
