Dragon and the flu...

My seven-year-old daughter got sick with the swine flu last week, and she got it quite bad, it turned into pneumonia. Anyways, while she lays at home on the couch, I found that when I bring her our beardie (Balrog), she gets some colours on her cheeks, and seems to cheer up. She talks with Balrog, cuddles with her and Balrog seems really happy to be cuddled that much in a single day... and its been 5 days!

I had heard before about the therapeutic effect of animals, but this is the first time I actually witness it (Balrog is our first pet). I can say that Balrog made my daughter drink some juice and take a few bites of food, and most important, she made her smile!

Happy flu season!

Oh, BTW, I hope your daughter feels better fast. So she's not in the hospital? I know they wouldn't let the dragon into the hosptial, fear of an infection, I guess.

No she's not in the hospital. I just imagine bringing a lizard in the hospital... it makes me laugh! Actually she is doing much better, Tamiflu really works!

And Balrog is happy to have a playdate!

Sorry to hear that your daughter got the swine flu, but glad to hear that she is improving and NOT in the hospital. :blob5: :blob5: That is such a sweet story about her and and how well she responded to Balrog! Thanks for sharing it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
