Whenever I give my beardie a bath, he will randomly puff out his throat (looks a little like a frog or a toad). It's just a few short puffing movements, say 2-3 in a row, and then he stops. He's done this in every bath, but doesn't do this outside of bathtime at all.

Is this just a reaction to all the water he's not used to, or what? His previous owner soaked him in a little tupperware tub; I let him swim around in a bathtub. The water only goes up to his shoulder, and his head has never been submerged.

Everything else is fine - eating, pooping, viv temps, etc....

When he's in the bath I've heard a few random clicks here and there when he puffs his throat like a frog, but again, never outside of the bath. Is this still ok?

Puffing simply means that he is in an uncomfortable situation and is being defensive. I believe I know the "click" sounds you describe; also perfectly normal. :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
