Dish for chow & water?

What type of dish do you use to put the roach chow & water crystals in for your dubia colony? Right now I am using a mason jar lid. Do you think that will work?

So long your tiniest roaches are able to climb into the dish it should be fine. I use the lids off of cheap plastic containers, like tupperware.

West Coast Roaches sells a really cool dish. Its made just to feed and water roaches. Check it out.

I got some salsa dishes from WalMart that are rough. Then got some carboard and cut holes in it the size of the dishes so they fit tight. I can pick the whole thing up to clean and refill. Works great and was about $5 to make.

I use plastic lids from the recycle bin and give them a quick sanding for the small ones to climb in and out. I also use tennis ball container lids. Our local tennis courts are littered with them even though there are plenty of trash barrels around. I don't like litterers :evil:

I keep my roaches in a Cricket Keeper and use the dishes that came with it.
