Difference b/t sick and brumating?

Kyle won't eat crickets every day anymore, but he eats his greens. He doesn't bask anymore, just spends time napping in his hide box for most of the day. All the temps etc are correct. UV bulb is about 7 months old (I have a new one, just need to install it). He's been going on like this for 2 weeks. Are there any signs to look for that tell if he's sick or just brumating? He's about a year and 3 months old

How big is his tank? What uvb light, basking temps? Probe or stick on to measure temperatures?
