Did i use the wrong sealer?

I made some fake rocks and used a water based poly acrylic sealer.

Its made by custom products called Tilelab, matte sealer and finish.

i placed about 3 coats of it and let it dry, but each time i put it in an empty xfire enclosure i get a fully smell, something like fumes. so did i use the wrong sealer?

thats the website and i had bought it at home depot, since it was the only sealer that they had.

so i also just realized that the container says, water based finish has low odor and will not yellow with age. . . is there a specific brand that i should look for?

As long as its water based its fine.

Try letting it air out longer outside somewhere safe and maybe the fume smell will dissapate.

ive been trying for about a week, so i said screw it and went and bought some shellac to seal my sealant. . . haha im hoping that this works out better.

it can take 2-3 weeks for some sealants to stop giving off fumes - you just need a little patience
