I was wondering if for additional light, but not so much heat in an enclosure if i would be able to use one of those energy saver coil or compact bulbs. . .

I know that the UVB compacts/coils are bad, i was wondering if the same applies to the regular bulbs sold at home depot.

thanks,
kyle

Hey,

I think it does. I am not positive but, here is my way of thinking.

I don't think it is the UVB that is bad for there eyes. I believe it is the way they work. If that is the case then the other coil bulbs work the same way. I would just rather not take the chance and not use it.

They are perfectly safe for your beardie :)
Trust me, alot of people use them for energy use and they emit no UV light.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
