Coccidia and Poop

I have never wanted my beardies to poop as much as I do now. Sam has been acting weird and I want to do a fecal to make sure his Coccida hasn't relapsed. I am so stressed right now. Am I need to do a fecal on the new beardie, Botch. It has been about 2 months since I rescued him, so he shouldn't be stressed anymore and I should be able to get a good fecal count if there is anything present.

I have never done a fecal myself before, so just a few questions. Just how "fresh" does the poo need to be? And does it matter if it gets wet? My beardies mainly poo in the tub when they get soaked, hence the wet question. I just don't want to mess up the fecal results any.

the fresher the better...nothing over 24 hours though refrigerated according to my herp vet...Geico goes in his bath always so took her a sample straight from his bath with some water included YUCK..and pulled up some segments I saw into a syringe and put the entire syringe in a separate baggie so she could see what i was seeing. hope this helps

Well, Botch pooped, so I am waiting the 12 minutes before I cen put the cover on the slide to view it under the microscope. Heres to hoping for a clean count.

(BTW, Botchs poo is god awful smelling! He can def clear out a room!)

Now just waiting on Sam to poo. :?

Well, Botch had a clean count as far as I could see. Would it hurt to give him a dose to Toltrazuril, just to be on the safe side?
