Chick peas for humans can balance blood sugars and with all the things I read in ER or Health about dragons being hypo or hyper glycemic I am wondering if a mashed up or finely cut chick pea can help or even with the iron content in chick peas if mashed can help with iron deficient dragons? Can they even have chick peas?

I can't see why they couldn't have them, they don't have toxins or anything as far as I know. Canned garbanzo beans are on the beautiful dragons "occasional" list.

As legumes they will be higher is phytates (similar concern to oxalate) and are crappy to start with as far as calcium goes. I'm not to familiar with glycemic foods, but herbs (basil, peppermint, spearmint and thyme) and spirulina appear to be on the high end for iron.

I know but my question is more geared for dragons that have a high blood or low blood sugar and are iron deficient. I am wondering if chick peas/garbanza beans can help with that since they are high in iron and seem to level out blood sugars.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
