Building A tank this weekend

Hello all,

I'm build my two little ones their own tank this weekend, and have a lighting question. Is it necessary for the UV bulb to go all the way across the tank, or should it mainly be in the basking area. I've seen some mixed opinions, and just wanted to know what is best for the dragon.

Also, is it possible to get fixtures to house the reptisun 10 bulbs at homedepot or lowes, cause i want to mount the light in the tank, and the zoomed fixture is meant to go on top.

its best to have it strech all the way, if not the majority. and as for the zoomed fixture, u can buy sum velcro n stick it on the top no problem.

The UVB doesn't have to go all the way across, my beardies are in a 40 gallon breeder (36 in long) and I use a 24 in Reptisun 10.0. You can get the fixtures at Home Depot or Lowes, it's the under cabinet light fixtures. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you're all done!

alright, all the sides are cut, fixtures bought and wired, only problem now is the viewing doors. Does anyone a cheap route, or where to find cheap plexi glass
