Ok, so we're gearing up the lake trailer ... dragons going with us ... have 40 long w/tank divider for weekend housing (mostly nighttime usage) ... BUT we bug-bomb at the beginning of each season, to rid the trailer of spiders / ants. It just dawned on me that the carpeting may hold residue of the foggers? Anyone have experience with using them ... will dragons be safe to be on the carpeting after fogging (we always air out the trailer for a couple hours before its occupied).

Their viv will not be inside during fogging... we use the ones where we have to shut down all electrical and seal it up (it takes 4 hours for the foggers to do their thing).

Just trying to cover the bases! Wanted to let them free run the trailer when we're in for the night, but don't want sick babies? I always vacuum up well afterward, and wipe down counters etc... my golden retriever & maincoon never seemed to be affected, but dragons are so sensitive to cleaning agents?

Wow...that's a good question Dawn! Does it say anything on the product about safety precautions after using? I would be concerned with the beardies, because of the fact that they are much closer to the carpet and do tend to lick! It would probably be too much work to actually shampoo the carpet afterwards, with drying time and all, huh?

technically you have to shut down electrical (fridge, hot-water tank, etc), close all windows, and remove edibles from the area... afterward, it is supposed to "deter spiders & ants from re-entering the area"... so I would assume there is some residue? You are supposed to wash any cups/plates/silverware for safety if they got fogged (for some reason my silverware drawers are where the ants like to go!)

But it does not mention having to shampoo carpets -- supposed to be "safe" for children & normal household pets after the treatment... well, dragons aren't considered "normal" but who wants to be normal anyway?

It's a 32-ft camper trailer w/all the spoiling amenities (couch, dinette, bedroom, microwave, etc) -- I know, I forgot what "roughing it" was! So there's furniture that will get fogged too, that they may climb on...

If there is pyretherines included in the ingredients, than yes shampoo !
Those types of insecticides can have adverse responses from "delicate" animals. I used to hold a license for spraying insecticides and always always was leery of said ingredients !
Hope this helps out !
Janie.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
