beardies in the wild

What are Bearded Dragons like to their young in the wild? I was just curious, it seems as though my young dragon (Just over 4 months) Seems to be such a little cuddlebug, he nuzzles into my hand and falls asleep every evening and loves to be pet, I was just wondering if Adults are affectionate to their young at all or do they just catch on quickly and figure "hey, this gigantic warm hairless monkey will pet me if I act really cute!"

in the wild, the beardie mother lays her eggs in the sand then leaves them and doesn't come back . Its nice that we can be surrogate cuddly mums for our beardies and its nice that they seem to enjoy it

i agree it's sad that beardies don't cuddle amongst themselves, but i don't mind mind cuddling with me (especially since he cuddles with me more than my cat does).

i wonder, since beardies show their dominance by laying on others, are they dominating us by laying on us? though the snuggle motion would say otherwise...i dunno. just a random thought :wink:

haha, no i like to think they are comfortable with us. When mine was a baby she used to wave at me so she's seen me as the dominant one once upon a time!

lmao that cool, my five are all cuddly still and there adults now well three of them. my females do there own thing during the day and when the lights go off ( there in my front room ) they meet on the middle tier and cuddle in . every nite without fail. My boy whos upstairs is my secret cuddle monster. I g o upstairs to read when my kids and husband have all been attended to , i get him out and for about an hour he pushes at the duvet to be in and lays on my belly , his legs sprawed out the lot , if he could snore i am sure he would beat my husband lmao.
