WAs out with Louie tonight, and someone told me their cousin was getting a "becko"...supposedly a cross between a beardie and a gecko?

Anyone ever heard of this?? Seen one??

Very unlikely. There has been very little success in breeding of hybrids, and the eggs are usually infertile when they do breed. and the very few succesful hybrid hatchlings usually die within a few day. and these are usually just crossbreeds of geckos like fat tail x leopard. the chances of a bearded dragon and a leopard breeding, laying fertile eggs, having a hatchling , and then that hatchling surviving, are very very very slim. if i was to guess a number probability, it would be a lot of spaces to the right of a zero and decimal point , but an interesting idea, what would that look like.

Bahahahaha!
Those two species don't even share the same suborder! It would be like us mating with... i dunno, a manitee or something like that. They are waaaay too distantly related to have offspring. I doubt their reproductive organs would even "work out", if you catch my drift. Even through the advancements in our genetic manipulative prowess, i don't think we could achieve such a feat.

LOL....yea, I thought this wasn't true.... I have never seen one at a reptile show, or heard of it at all.

It does give me a laugh tho

Wow, I think someone is getting ripped off.

I was thinking the same thing. How much are they paying for it? That would be one interesting looking critter, lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
