If you want to breed them I would keep them and let them keep breeding. Crickets can be slow growers so keeping the larger ones breeding is probably a good idea.

I personally wouldn't feed my dragon dead crickets. What you could do is separate the adult crickets and gut load them. When their done eating put them in the freezer to preserve them. You wouldn't know for sure how long the crickets have been dead so preserving them is a better way.

You should consider breeding dubias(or roaches in general) as they have Less chitin, more meat, easy to breed, escapees can't repopulate, no smell, more interesting than crickets, lives for 1-1.5 years..... I could go on forever.

I would defenetly breed dubais if it was my choice. I know the facts but my mom refuses to let roaches anywhere near or in our house.

My parents feel the same way about roaches and I still convinced them. Bombard them with facts. Make a PowerPoint so they can learn more about them.

My parents are tight with money so thats where I hit them. I gave them a rough calculation of what it would cost to feed my bearded dragon by buying crickets in the petstore($1=10crix) =over $7000 in 2 years. Now I have over 2000nymps+250adults(200f/50m) all funded by my wonderful parents who didn't like the idea of having roaches in the first place.

Double post but....

Another thing that convinced them was the those crickets in the first place  .They've notice how bad they are. They complain of how they smell all the time; how they die 10% die before it reaches home from a car ride; how it bothers them at night... again I could go on forever

So keep breeding them crickets and we'll see how they'll like it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
