You can use a regular house hould LED bulb for extra lighting - they dont give off heat and if your heat is good in the tank then its fine to use one of those - is this for the cool side of the tank I am assuming?Would a grow light LED like this (would be using two) be sufficient for supplemental/ambient lighting to brighten the 4x2x2?
Yeah basking, ambient, and UVB measured with my solarmeter are perfect and checked religously. I had a 24" T5 sunblaster spectrum light in there for ambient lighting and it burnt out the other night. Finding a 24" bulb with quick shipping is ridiculously difficult. I bought a 6 pack of 21" thinking those were the right bulbs. They were not. But yes, this is for the middleish/cool side. You can use a regular house hould LED bulb for extra lighting - they dont give off heat and if your heat is good in the tank then its fine to use one of those - is this for the cool side of the tank I am assuming?

Would you say a more blue or more red spectrum LED would be better for the ambient lights?try this website https://hydrobuilder.com/
I send alot of people there for fixtures -- they then need to change the bulb out to either the Arcadia 12% bulb or the Reptisun 10.0 T 5
Colored lights are not good - white is bestWould you say a more blue or more red spectrum LED would be better for the ambient lights?
You can if you want. If you look at the spectra of that bulb, you'll see its very similar to the spectra for florescent bulbs (your UVB bulb).Would a grow light LED like this (would be using two) be sufficient for supplemental/ambient lighting to brighten the 4x2x2?
