    Ok. My mind is blown.

I know that dogs are known to protect their owners, but I have a feeling dragons are the same way. Hear me out. Today, I unleashed the dragon ( 8) ) In my living room. My room mate also has a beardie and did the same. They didn't care for each other too much and each did their own thing. Mine...

    Dragon signals.

It's interesting you mentioned music to keep it entertained. This morning I picked up my guitar for the first time in a while and started jamming. It immediately jumped up to its high branch and eyeballed me. One arm wave plus some head banging - I've never seen it so interested before. As for...

    scratching at tank glass

You dragon will tell you if it's too hot or too cold. If it's too cold, the skin will turn black trying to absorb more heat - also watch for stress marks. If it's too hot, it'll avoid its basking spot or start gaping or both. If it's just right it'll spend most of its day in the basking spot...

    scratching at tank glass

The basking spot should be around 90-100 degrees, if I'm not mistaken. Other than that, scratching at the glass is normal. It could be trying to get your attention or it wants out. Could be a bunch of things. My dragon has yet to figure out what "this mysterious transparent barrier" is. It jumps...

    Dragon signals.

My dragon loves to give me signals. Specifically, he likes scratching at the glass to shout "I'M HUNGRY. FEED ME. I'M HUNGRY. FEED ME." And then I feed him. He sits on his rock looking the other direction. And then looks over his shoulder, at me. I can only guess, "Well then. You've fed me...

    Warning: On hand feeding.

So now that I've gone and messed that up, how do I teach him that my finger isn't food??

    New apartments and beardies?

I'm planning to move into a new apartment next month and while I understand there's a fee for cats and dogs, but what about caged animals like bearded dragons, birds, hamsters, etc? Can I get away with not paying a fee?

Has your Dragon ever Bit you or Tried to Bite you?

Beardies will always give you a warning if they're biting out of anger or fear - lying flat, turning black, black bearding, puffs. It'll be pretty obvious. Otherwise, if they do bite, it'll be because it thinks you're food and it won't hurt at all.

    Warning: On hand feeding.

Hand feeding is an awesome way to bond with your dragon, but as I found out today, too much of a good thing is actually kind of funny/bad. Every time I dump crickets in the tank, I start off with hand feeding my beardie 3-5 crickets - dumping the rest. For about a month, this was working and...

Do you guys think your beardie likes being stroked?

I'm almost certain that they just tolerate it. Whenever I pick mine up out of his tank, he turns lighter but only because he wanted to be out in the first place.

Funny waving while stalking a cricket

Is it waving at the cricket or is it waving at you? Mine would do that and then snatch the cricket in the process. You'd think it's trying to trick the cricket into a false sense of security...

My Beardie bit me and I don't know why

You can definitely tell whether or not your beardie bit you because it thought you were food or it was genuinely pissed/frightened. I've felt both - if it's frightened, it'll feel like a really hard pinch. If it's hungry, it tongues you first and then bites, but nowhere near as hard as the other.

    My dragon, the professor.

I do, too but man. I just moved his tree branch so that he can't see what I'm doing and now he's scratching on the glass begging me to fix it. UPDATE: So I put the branches back in place, he gets so excited, trips on the way to it and his tail flings nearby poo straight to the glass.

    My dragon, the professor.

Kind of a exaggeration. It appears to me that my dragon is interested in every thing I do. I leave the room, he waits in the corner of his tank until I return. He follows me as best as he can within the confines of his space. If I'm playing video games, he will try to watch the screen. Same...

4 month old beardie, chewing on a rock!!!

He just did it again to all the branches I've set up, knocking them down forcing me to perch them back up again. HERE WE GO.

Bearded Dragon suddenly hiding from me

I honestly don't think he can put 2 and 2 together like that - UNLESS you only take him out of your cage for a bath. Our dragons are about the same age and if mine doesn't want out, it simply will not let me pick it up.

Bearded Dragon suddenly hiding from me

Bribe him. WITH FOOD! And be persistent about it. He may not come out for the first few tries but hunger/curiosity will get the better of him eventually.

4 month old beardie, chewing on a rock!!!

I want to say it's a sign of having the munchies. Mine does this too - along with the branches i've stuck in there, but then I toss in a few crickets and he stops.

Four month old juvenile suddenly acting very aggressive?

I have one also named that, also the same age so.. yeah. They'll do that. I pissed mine off when I broke routine and didn't feed him on time. And that is literally all it takes. He' turned completely black and gave me this angry glare ALL day long. They're babies after all and will act as such...

    Zilla Vegetable Mix.

I've decided to try and give my beardie raw bits of asparagus. Usually he'd slurp it right off my finger, but with the asparagus he just kind of stares and tells me to #$(*@ off. Persistence is key, I guess.
