Okay. I've been told that the repti basking spot lamp will also work instead. Is that true?

Are there any Repti Sun's that aren't the long bulbs because when I went to the store the girl told me to buy the hood for the light which I did but I can only put smaller bulbs in there, not long ones.

Thank you for all your help. I was at the pet store today and I asked one of the girls my same question and she was like well what kind of light do you have and I showed her. The guy that sold it to me told me it was all I needed and it gave off the UVB...turns out it just gave off extra heat...
