Noticed this lump this morning. She hasn’t been eating for roughly 2 weeks now. She went to see the vet 2 weeks ago after straining and blood in her poo, and the vet determined it might be worms so she had dewormer. Since then she has not eaten but stopped straining and acted normal otherwise, except a lot more digging. Now this lump has appeared and she keeps stretching her eyes by closing them and swallowing causing them to bulge and rolling them around. She is shedding at the moment and has had two new T8 UVB bulbs recently and temperatures in her vivarium are at 38 degrees c at the hot end and 23 degrees c at the cool end. It’s a bank holiday at the moment in the UK so no vets other than emergency, I was wondering how urgent this is? The lump causes her discomfort as she squints and wiggles her head when I touch it. Thanks for any help and I’m sorry if this is poorly written I’m just worried.

It could be a cyst or abcess -- I will have some others take a look to see what they think --- @AHBD @Drache613 ----------- where is the T 8? is it on top of your screen or inside the tank? Has she ever laid eggs? the digging could mean shes gravid - Have you felt for eggs?

Are you sure it's not her shoulder blade ? Once she starts moving around you can see if it shifts and looks different. Your temps. are on point so that's good. One suggestion thsat is off topic but very relevant to over all health is to reduce her insect feedings drastically, she is very overweight. For years people have grown accustomed to seeing very chunky beardies but that is not the norm for them and affects their health very badly. Offer insects no more than 2X a week, only a few at a time. You want to do the most you can to keep her healthy.

@AHBD I was also thinking so - the only thing I can see here is something that looks like her shoulder blade under some amount of body fat.
When I see the two photos, at least for me nothing is obviously off regarding a specific lump.
What I see is her being overweight. Every part of her body looks very chubby (beard, body/belly, arms, even the hands are really chubby), that's not how it should be/ is normal. Bearded dragons are flat and not slender, and they have a beard, but should never look "fat".

@Mikeb
Could you take a look at her in different positions, and highlight on the photo what is off? And feed less insects and also, if that's an issue, less fatty ones. Which kinds of insects do you currently feed her and how often how many? (I have seen she isn't eating right now.)

Hello,

She is a beautiful color. She is a leatherback, correct?
I was as well, looking at the puffiness on her hand & wrist area. I hope she isn't developing gout, which will cause the puffiness on the extremities.
The area on the shoulder blade doesn't look too bad. Did that seem to crop up just after the deworming
treatment? Do you remember what medication was given?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
