Bred my bettas

Kiddo has been bothering me since before we got him a Betta, to breed Bettas. Finally decided to do it and I have wee ones to feed now

That's after a couple days too. Dad is done being doting and letting them do their thing

Both spawns are free swimming and eating. First spawn is eating brine shrimp, second is still on infusoria.

Will you have to separate them into individual tanks at some point?
Are you going to sell them?
I don't know much about betas except they are gorgeous

The males will need to be separated out as they grow up. The females can stay together a lot longer. I'll be giving them to my local fish stores. Get treats for Alex or other fish in exchange. It's a hobby I enjoy as it's both a scientific and an artistic pursuit for me. It's a nice challenge for my mind. I'm not big on the concept of money, especially when it comes to living things.

I'd rather trade a fish for a plant or some cool garden seeds than for $20 or whatever.

Though selling 2 Bettas at 20 EA buys me one new lime tree at $39.95 lol

I'm hoping the root stock bounces back. In the interim, I planted cactus around it lol

Moved some into a tank full of tiny food.

I've bred betas before my dad had bred tons of fish so it's pretty cool to see them grow into beautiful fish.

Well, moved them in today. Tank is full of breeding daphnia, so hopefully they get fat
