Hi! I'm new here. I've had my little Chamomile since February 2020, and she will be 3 at the end of December. She has had 2 clutches of egg laying in her lifetime, usually 9 months apart. Last time was at the end of june of 2021. She's a little fatter, lol, I took her to the vet and we are trying a laybox. She's comfortable laying on her Reptile carpet, but now we have a 24 cup Tupperware bin full of sand from Australia
She doesn't know what to do with it lol. She's looking at me like she's being punished now, especially after taking out some of her decor, to make room for the bin on her non basking side. We will be upgrading from a 40 gallon to a 120 gallon soon enough, after my move in June! She is adventurous, and loooooves running around my apartment, to nest herself in many spots. She digs! Just not in sand... lol. Will she eventually come to learn about her new Substrate? Is there an alternative to sand that may get her laying these eggs quicker? I'm trying to avoid a $200 x-ray, seeing as we are just a little behind her usual egg laying time (from what ive been ovserving thus far), I reeeeeaaally wanna take care of this to the best of my ability, which is why I've come to this community! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
