Possible broken toe?????

Just noticed today that our bearded dragon's longest toe on it's back right foot looks like it was bitten or something. It's completely crooked and looks like it was bleeding but since dried up and still dark red. It doesn't look good! We're new owners so not sure what to do. We have 2, cages together and about 7-8 months old. Don't know the sex yet. HELP PLEASE!!

I'm sorry your new little buddy had his [ I'll say he for now ] toe bitten ! Also sorry to tell youthat they must be separated in to different tanks immediately. Once you have a biter it will happen again. Don't wait because beardies of that size can mangle an entire foot so that it can't be healed and can lead to amputation.

To help the toe, get some betadine + mix with water until it looks like iced tea. Then after it dries you can apply Neosporin or raw unpasteurized honey [ from health store or beekeeper ] It's a natural antimicrobial. If you use honey be sure there is nothing that can stick to it and no loose insects in the tank. The toe can possibly heal but will always be bent most likely.
