My Simi passed away yesterday

I posted this last summer how my Simi was coughing or sneezing. He was prescribed antibiotics. He seemed to perk up for the most part but never really seemed 100%. We took him in again last Tuesday. They drew blood and found his white cell count was elevated extremely. We are heartbroken once again since we lost Atlas our rescue beardie. I totally feel like we failed the poor thing.

So sorry to hear about Simi! So hard to lose a pet! Sounds like you did a lot to help these little guys. In humans, a high white cell count sounds like an infection..maybe the same for reptiles? I'm sorry that the vet wasn't able to save Simi!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
